About Aaron

Aaron McRae is the husband to Holly and the dad of Olivia, Kate and Will. He’s a North Carolina boy that grew up in the church and found a passion for ministry at a very young age. Pastor Aaron started his formal ministry training at University of North Carolina at Greensboro and completed his Masters of Divinity through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. In the Spring of 2012, Pastor Aaron accepted the invitation to become the Senior Pastor of Hillside to lead us into this exciting season of vision for ministry.

His love for the scriptures, his passion for transformational teaching and his desire to see every person connected and thriving in their relationship with Christ fuels the ministry of Hillside. Keeping things fun for Pastor Aaron means going to a Dodgers baseball or a Lakers basketball game. He also patiently waits for the University of North Carolina basketball team to make it to the Final Four each year. He loves his family, this community, this church and he believes in the power of what Christ can do with a group of people committed together to the Gospel!
