Kirk Mackie

Kirk Mackie was ordained and started his ministry in the Aspire Network as Lead Pastor of Wilshire Avenue Community Church, Fullerton, CA in 1996. Since then, he has held several roles in Aspire including Pastor Mentor Group Leader, Board Member, Southeast Division Hub Leader, Co-Lead for the Church Health Advocacy Team, and Executive Coach. In partner organizations with the Aspire Network, Kirk has served on the boards of both Atherton Baptist Homes of Alhambra and the American Baptist Theological Center at Fuller Seminary.

Kirk holds a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Seminary with a concentrated study in leader development and Christian spirituality. Kirk enjoys developing leaders and has appreciated his time from 2013-2022 as an Adjunct Professor both at Moscow Theological Seminary, Russia, and Odessa Theological Seminary, Ukraine, teaching courses on Spiritual Formation and Missional Leadership.

 

In 2015, Kirk became a church consultant with Novo Mission, coaching and empowering pastors and churches to live strategically and missionally in their communities for the sake of new disciples of Jesus. Kirk is thoroughly enjoying his new role since 2023 as CEO/Mission Lead of the Aspire Network as he continues to lead Aspire into God’s good future! Kirk and his wife Robin have two grown boys.
