Breakout #1 Multiplying Churches

Lamar Ferrell

Lamar has a heart to serve, shepherd, and love people in his path. One of his ministries beyond the walls of Berachah is serving as a Chaplain for the Divisions of Police and Fire in Middletown. He has been involved in the chaplaincy ministry for over twenty years and currently serves as Lead Chaplain. Lamar also serves as the Chaplain for Team Fastrax, a nationwide skydiving team.

Lamar’s heart and vision are to continue to serve the Middletown community he has been blessed to be a part of. The call and priority of his life is to lead by faith and to reach the lost, lonely, and left out.

Lamar Ferrell has been Lead Shepherd at Berachah Church since 1997. Berachah now has two campuses in Middletown, Ohio, in addition to the Compassion City Center, a stand-alone, non-profit facility designed to meet the physical, social, spiritual, and economic needs of the community.

Lamar is a graduate of Miami University and received his Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Maryanne, along with their two children—son Luke, who is married to Brittany, and daughter Elley—stay very active in their service to the church and city while giving extra attention to the special needs community.
