Mark Johnson 

Dr. Mark Johnson serves as the Lead Pastor of Mercy Road Church in Anderson, Indiana, a rapidly growing congregation known for its diversity, innovation, and community impact. Under his leadership, the church has grown into one of the fastest-growing ministries in Indiana, reaching thousands with the hope of Christ in less than two years.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Johnson is a first-generation college graduate who earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Morgan State University, a Master of Divinity from Howard University School of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary. His academic training, combined with nearly a decade of pastoral ministry and years of teaching as an adjunct professor of communications, has shaped his ability to communicate the gospel with both clarity and conviction.

Dr. Johnson is also the founder of Lead Different, a leadership and coaching platform equipping pastors and marketplace leaders to embrace wisdom over ego, skill over status, and purpose over power. His ministry emphasizes spiritual formation, innovation in the local church, and developing leaders who create lasting kingdom impact.

He and his wife, Whitney, are proud Baltimore natives raising their daughter Noah while pursuing God’s call to build a thriving, multiethnic church community that reflects the heart of the kingdom.
